On what was officially the hottest day in June on record, Petanque Wallingford held the First Presidents Trophy competition. Thankfully in the evening the heat subsided a little allowing us to play in the warm breeze. We played 3 games, which was followed by a sausage sizzle christening our new picnic benches. Well done to the two winners, the Ladies winner was Anne Freeman and the Gents was Simon Ratliff, both winning three games.
