Wallingford Open took place on Sunday 13th July on what was probably one of the hottest days of the year. Almost 40 people braved these unusually hot conditions and now and then we were treated to rush of warm air. With the pistes decorated with bunting and umbrella's and along with the over hanging trees we managed to make some shade. Play began and three games were played before lunch and two after. The day went well, and at one point an unexpected mini whirlwind nearly blew us off our feet!. We finished with Pimm's and homemade cakes!
We raised an amazing £142.50 for Kidney Research UK.
