However, on the 16th May they did rather better at Home, against Cookham Dean Micros. They won 3:2. They won the match, but Cookham Dean had better points 42:50. Funny old game this! Petanque Wallingford are just about half way - there is still time to catch up!
On 9th May Petanque Wallingford played Arborfield British Legion and had an 'oops' day they lost 4:1! Only Mark and Alec won their game.

I have given up waiting for the TVPA to put up the results, and time marches on! So here it is as far as Petanque Wallingford is concerned.
The teams from the Thames Valley met on 14th May at the Royal British Legion Arborfield to find the representative for the Region in the Champion of Champions Pairs competition to be held on 7th October 2017, venue TBA. Mark Dowman and Peter Smith played for Petanque Wallingford and made it to the semi-finals to play against Paul and Dean Webb of Burnham. And Petanque Wallingford WON 13:3, so will now represent the Region when the top teams from the 12 EPA Regions play the Pairs Competition. Well done Mark and Peter, a fabulous result and good luck for the next match. |
