We did very well in raising our funds despite the big supermarket opposite and the solicitors GIVING AWAY small helpings of mulled wine! Not very friendly when most of the stalls in the market place were charity stalls raising funds for whatever they did. But despite them we had lots of visitors.
We also had a stall in the Regal (an ex-cinema) flying the flag for the club, telling people what a fantastic sport they could join in right on their doorstop. We took quite a few emails from people who want to come and play or come and learn to play when our Summer Season starts up again in April. So all round, we had a successful and happy day. And we had a raffle which added to our coffers… Roll on the day when we have our own terrain and don't have to play on the car park when it is not in use!! Thanks to everyone who came along to help - that day is getting closer …
