17 people turned out to play, coming from other clubs in the Thames Valley Region (I forgot the camera again ....). It was, if anything, even more windy than new year's day! Everything was weighted down – as soon as a weight was removed to use the item, it blew away and I spent my time running (slowly!) after it. However, we managed four games before, pretty cold, we withdrew to the Pavilion where Dave opened the bar and we warmed up with drinks, ate our lunch and handed out the prizes! Anne from Winnersh won four games, Fiona from Petanque Wallingford came second and Eric from MTTA came third. We look forward to meeting at Winnersh on the 29th when I understand we may be treated to a 'Burns' theme, complete with Poetry and Pipes.
We swapped 'our' day (second Thursday of the month) with the Winnersh club (29th January) for logistical reasons!
