Six players went from MTTA and two from Petanque Wallingford went to Guernsey to play in the Open. The PW players stayed in an auberge near the Petanque 'greenhouses' and the MTTA players stayed in the Peninsula Hotel.
In all 80 teams participated over the two day weekend – players from Guernsey, Jersey, Holland, UK (Cornwall, PW, MTTA, Bath, Cricklade –18 people at least), South of France and I dunno where else! We had wonderful weather – a bit misty to start, but soon the sun came out, and the Sunday was just as nice. We hope to go again next year. Jersey want us to come to them too …
