The presentation dinner was held on the Saturday night but G was not feeling well, so we decided not to go. We phoned the hotel to tell them we weren't coming, so they could sort the tables, if they wanted and we were offered 'doggy bags'. Wow! Of course we said yes, and duly went to collect them at 7.30 and so had our own very nice presentation dinner in our little house.
We stayed on the island for a week, so we were able to do a lot of exploring and we found another petanque piste! We played on it too - it was very different from ours, but we had a lot of fun.
All over the Island were shelves of 'hedge veg' where you could buy fresh produce grown by the local folk. We often stopped and bought beans or cabbage etc for our supper or flowers for our little house. You just leave the money in a box. What a good idea!
(Un) Fortunately the ferry operators had sorted the problem by the time we had to go home. We hope to go again next year! Perhaps more people would like to come.
