I tried to take some pictures but the light was not good enough for my little camera do them justice.
A has done a super job as coordinator of the lights project - we tried them out tonight (2 sets of four players) and although it was a bit breezy, the wind was warm and play was lovely. We can't wait to play on warm summer evenings.

![]() Yesterday lights (thanks everyone who contributed to the success of the project), today the last game on our Boulodrome for Winter 2015 - now we move to play at Marlow twice a month until October, when it all starts up again. How time has flown! From the pic you can see our lights and some of the players from other clubs. We were forced to conclude play by a hailstorm! And all adjourned to the pavilion for soup and crusty bread and cheese straws and a pint of something interesting. Our next big event is the 8th April - the 'intake' of new members to come and join the fun ... We had lots of snow last night, and it actually settled. So I raced up (slowly) to take some pictures this morning of our lovely Boulodrome covered in 15 cm of snow. While I was up there I took a picture of where we used to play! I hope it has all melted by tomorrow, so we can play again.
Today was probably one of the coldest at the Boulodrome, but we went to watch them play Round 5 of the Winter Pairs. Well, they played (Grandad and Me (won 1) vs Cosmos (won 2), Sur les Carreau (won 2) vs Les Galois (won 1), (Team Terry pulled out so Payasos got a bye), we watched for a little while, then we played too - anything to take our minds off the bitter cold! Actually, it was the wind that did for us. Meanwhile all around us were hundreds of kids running around playing hockey and rugby - made me feel quite warm. Afterwards we had a warming drink and I hear that some of our other teams (Moody Blues, The Neverlanders, The Crooks) had a warming roast on the way home. None of our Teams made it in to the line up for the finals in March. But next time ... So, this is the plan for the finals: League 1 (played today at Burnham) 9 (15) Bozos Sootz & Alan 9(13) M & M's Mark & Mathew League 2 (played today at Burnham moved from Winnersh) 13(34) The Villans Alun & Bob 10(42) Bozos Two Snowy & John Poole League 3 (played today at Wallingford) 10(20) Cosmos Russell & Vic 9(11) Payasos Mike & Steve (they had a bye) League 4 (played today at Arborfield) 12(95) Twiglets Paul & Dean 9(23) No Idea Linda & Les Next best four from all leagues: 10(34) Harrow 1 Vince & Braz 9(7) The Smiths Rob & Elaine 9(6) Crash,Bang,Wallop Mac & Kev 9(3) Me & my Grandad Ron & Dave |
