What a hectic day! Burnham Eagles agreed to come at 9am to the Boulodrome for our Sunday League Match - to avoid clashing with the 250 cars arriving for the annual 'Classic/Vintage/pretty old' car rally at the park. Cheryl and I had coffee and pains au chololat ready for the Burnham Eagles and our teams, and while they played Cheryl and I waved at the cars arriving and I took photographs (I had been instructed by my brother in law in the USA to take pictures of MGs and Triumphs for one of his friends!) A bit of a joke that because I knew a bus from a jeep, but that was about it. Red seemed to be the predominant colour of the vehicles and I got the idea that a red spotty car would be fun for us, but I only saw a car with one spot And while all this excitement was going on our team was getting beaten - not clobbered, but not winning! Here is a table of how things stand now. So on the 17th May we go to play Regional Pairs in Marlow, then on the 31 May PW will hold the WASP day (Wallingford All Sports Petanque in the Park) and the Sunday League team will play their 7th match.
